It doesn't matter how kind you are,
how compassionate,
how hard you try;

it doesn't matter how much work you do,
inner and outer,

how much you try to perfect, to polish, to do better;

it doesn't matter how good you are,
how much you give,
how much you play by their rules;

it doesn't matter which game you play;

there will be people who will want to tear you down.

Who will want you to stay silent,
to stay small,
to stay in your place.

It is only because they are afraid of facing their own.

It's okay.

There are others of us like you.

Get louder.

Shine brighter.
Stand taller.

Speak your Truth more boldly.

You Know why you're here.

And it is to,

lovingly and with deep honoring,
break the chains that have come before you.
