On the 10x Mentality
There’s something very dangerous, and very destructive, about the 10x mentality being hocked everywhere you look.
It preys upon— and cultivates— the belief that we constantly need more more more more more.
The blind grabbing for anything else to stuff into our mouths, our minds, our pockets, our time...
Over eating. Over drinking.
Always needing the next shiny, over-promising book, class, technique or trick.
Over buying and gluttonous consumerism.
Busy-ness.
The inability to sit still.
The overwhelming din of constant DOING.
Is it any wonder we’re destroying the planet?
Is it any wonder that we SO DEEPLY crave Intimacy —
— when it’s the one thing we’re never giving to ourselves in the search for constant building?
Is it any wonder we search endlessly for what it feels like to be truly Loved, truly seen, truly Whole —
— when we don’t sit still long enough to receive it?
Is it any wonder we’re so lost —
wondering constantly when we’ll finally be truly happy,
wondering what we’re doing wrong —
why what we long for seems to never find us;
wondering where we fit in —
our Purpose, the path we’re meant for, what it all means,
wondering when we’ll finally get to rest —
— when we’re constantly looking for BIGGER, for what’s next, for what’s out there?

Ironically, you might be thinking, I speak about More all the Time —
— but there’s an important difference:
The More I speak about isn’t a specific formula that Shames you, inherently, into believing that where you are and what you’re doing isn’t good enough.
It isn’t going to laud amounts and goals and benchmarks over fulfillment and Pleasure and your deepest desire: Joy.
It isn’t going to sacrifice YOU for an algorithm.

The More I speak about is the Internal and the Infinite MORE.
The MORE that asks nothing More of you than to simply come home to who you are, and to who you’ve always been meant to be.
The More that reminds you that abundance and Love can only come to you when you’re Home.
The More that asks you to sit, to lay down your burdens,
that invites you to breathe deeply, fully, assuredly, with nowhere to be,
that looks you in the eye, touches you softly on the hand and says —
— it’s okay... you’re here now... you’re so much More than Enough.
More doesn’t come from numbers and their 10x-ing.
More comes from Remembering.
