On the Ebbs in our sex lives

What if we treated the Ebbs in our sex lives as an invitation to deepen --- instead of a time to panic, judge or force things?
 

What just came through to me (thanks to a question I tapped into in another group) is that perhaps the Ebbs in our sex lives are sometimes exactly what's needed in our relationship

--- not because it requires a cooling off, but because it's asking for a level of Intimacy to be found that doesn't come from our typical "shortcut" of sex.
 

That perhaps this is a stunningly beautiful time of 'quiet' in the libido to find new ways to connect with our partners --- which will be in even deeper service to our ultimate longevity.

What if we welcomed these times like we welcome the cozying up and coming inside that happens in our lifestyles when our outside world hibernates in the winter ---

--- as a celebration, not a disappointment, after the busy, active, outwardly energetic phase of summer?

What if, as happens when we close our eyes, dimming our sight to better focus our hearing --- we treated the quieting of this particular sense as an invitation to deepen into and heighten the others at our disposal?

What if that's EXACTLY what is being asked for in service of the longest-burning fires ---

--- and what if we're the ones throwing water on the coals of our fires when we judge or reject ourselves (or our partners) for periods of slow-burning embers in favor of an inferno?
