Do This to Soften Into Deeper Presence
Does the idea of DEEP, deep Presence freak you out?
Or stress you out?
Or just feel uncomfortable?
I love the word Presence — it feels delicious to me...
...but for many of my clients,
it feels like PRESSURE.
Like a sudden pressure to get Presence right.
To pay attention.
To focus harder, sharper.
It actually squeezes their Energy and tightens their nervous system — rather than what true Presence, as I feel it and see it, is meant to do...
Release it,
soften it,
Expand it,
deepen it.
Also, our Wounded Masculine conditioning has made most of us really uncomfortable with Intimacy.
And that's really what Presence is:
Massive, unadulterated, deep Intimacy.
And while I practice deep Presence and Intimacy,
I still have an Edge that feels uncomfortable — where I'd rather distract myself, look away, break the silence, do something on my phone.
So I have an invitation for you...
(for all of us)
As an exercise,
as often as you can,
for as LONG as you can,
can you be sooooooooo deeply Present with everything —
— and just be witness to it all?
Can you just marvel in the unfolding of everything in the Universe, in life, as it unfolds around you?
Can you let yourself be in absolute awe of the sensation of the air on your skin?
Even indoors, where the air isn't even really moving?
Can you let yourself hear the hum of the planet?
Even if you have to pretend to?
Can you watch the soft sway of a leaf on a branch when there's no wind?
Can you let yourself watch the shadows move as the sun peaks out and then back behind the clouds?
Can you let yourself watch the slow breathing of a sleeping child or animal?
...for a LOT longer than you feel comfortable doing?
Can you just let yourself sit and Witness life as a practice in deep... utter... Presence?
