For those who need this too...

I found this floating around in my email drafts folder from almost exactly a year ago...
 

This had poured through me then as a piece to be featured in an e-zine,
and I promptly forgot to send it in.
 

Thankfully, they're receptive of it now --- a year later ---
and I'm so (not) surprised to see how perfectly, perfectly aligned it is for me right this very second,

as I start to pack up and prepare for my first-ever public speaking event.

Feeling raw.
Feeling ready.
Feeling unready.

Feeling like I'm completely untethering to every idea I have about myself,
and offering it all up to my Cosmic Team in service of what I need to Become.

I'm a flawed human.
And soon, if I step into this role as Loud Speaker for these Archetypes, for Love, for our Wholeness ---

--- those flaws will be on display and subject to shredding.

But it's not about me.
I don't speak to be loved and adored.
I don't speak to be 'right' or because I'm 'ready.'

I speak to those who are ready to hear,
who are ready to heal,
who are ready for a DIFFERENT WAY.

I speak because I'm asked to.

And because I keep saying Yes.

As your vibration raises ---

--- as you start to take steps toward your greatness,
toward your joy, your deepest expression and realization of Love,
toward rising above the You you have known before,
the world you have known before

--- the Old begins to kick up a fuss.

The old mindsets, the old stories, the old beliefs, the old lies;
the old security blankets that felt like protection, but are really just ratty old rags, stained with your uncertainty and your fear...
They know their days are numbered.
They know they are losing their say in how this goes on.

And so they begin yelling, pushing a little harder,
poking at the spots they know hurt the most...
the spots that usually cause you to cry Uncle;
that usually cause you to give up, pull in, cower, turn back;
the spots that make you want to build the wall higher,
pull away farther, separate, protect.

They press into that soft spot in the ribs,
so that you can hardly breathe with the pain.

Except this time you do.
 

You simply breathe a little slower.  A little more consciously.

Your attention comes there, to the housing around your heart,

and you remember that beating there,
within this strong but delicate cage,
is the source of the only power strong enough to banish
what is trying to drag you back, seeking to mire you in the Old.

And so you center in.

And you choose to LOVE.

You choose to open in.
To trust.
To look stupid.
To get vulnerable.
To not know.
 

And you feel the warmth of that Love ---

--- for your purest self, for the feeling that you're meant for more,

for your knowing that it's going to be so, so much more beautiful
on the other side of this discomfort,

for the TRUTH that you, quite simply, belong to Love ---
 

--- and you feel it begin to pulse and glow,
ignite and grow from within you.

Casting out shadows and shining its golden light
on your space,
on your path,

filling you,
protecting you,
alighting you,
bringing you grace and power and expansion.

And suddenly you know: that it is not strength or will
or fortitude or any measure of protection
that will keep you safe from that which seeks to harm or control or keep you small and limited.

It is only Love
