My perspective on why diving into Feminine-Masculine Archetypal work is powerful, beautiful, deeply healing...

The first furrowed-brow tendency, I notice, that makes us want to reject these Archetypes is the misconception that we're speaking of Men and Women.

We're not.

We all — male, female, both, non-binary — have Feminine and Masculine within us.

We all have Feminine Energy Intuition, Emotions, and other forms of Opening, Receptivity and Depth...and we all have Masculine Energy Action-taking and Decision-making abilities, as well as other aspects of Singularity and Structure.

For me, the railing against the terms Masculine / Feminine as bearers of these concepts, principles, Energetics, typically come from the Wound itself — we reject the idea of these Polarities, and these terms, because we have judgments about them or Stories about what they mean about us.

And I believe that actually using these terms IS a form of healing from the Wounds of them, because they invite us to Remember that we all hold BOTH of them.

For me, it is a Reconnection — within us, and between us — through acknowledging the unique ratio of Feminine and Masculine we all hold, individually.

For me, it's a Unifying act
to acknowledge them in all of us.

The next question is usually, "So then, why bother? Why use the terms at all, why specify these differences, when we all have them anyway?"

And my answer to that is: We must learn the instruments individually, understand what each of them does, the ins-and-outs of their unique forms, functions, tones and timbre before we can come together to create Symphony, Harmony, beautiful Music. I don't see any need to vilify the instruments themselves.

They're simply a way for us
to Create in deeper Harmony.

And that, for me, is exactly why we'd want to play in these Realms — in the Feminine and Masculine, and understand both their Sacred forms and their Wounded, so that we can play the sweetest Melodies with the time we have here.
