A Subtle, Powerful Tool to Empower Your Coaching Client

I would love to invite you to remove this from your vocabulary:

“Why did you do that?” (Or “Why would you do that?”)

There’s an inherent implication in these questions that feels like, “Are you stupid? Are you an idiot? What were you thinking?”

Shame or Blame.

For having made a Choice or a Decision that you wouldn’t have made,
or one that they might not make now, knowing more than they did when they made it.

But here’s the thing:

Even when we’re effing up,
even when we’re making mistakes,
even when we’re self sabotaging and making poor Choices —

— we’re STILL doing the best we can

with what we know,
with the information we have,
with the tools we have,
with what our nervous system is ready for.

We’re always doing our best.

AND

this is where the Paradox of the Quantum Universe comes in:

We can always Choose Higher.

But here’s my point:

The answer to “Why did you do that?”
is always:

“Because I thought it was the best Choice for me in the moment.”
And if you want someone to start Choosing Higher, try something like this instead:
“…at least you know better for next time, right?”

The Energy is so different.

With this you’ll be subtly (but impactfully) encouraging them into their Personal Power.
