The key I've found to shifting those Patterns and Fears and Doubts and Wobbles you no longer want to experience...
It's true that it can be really powerful to simply let yourself Walk with them. To let yourself feel them, acknowledge them, make room for them, to not turn away to not run or hide to not push against them but to simply Walk with them anyway.
There is Alchemical potency
and transformation
in that, yes.
This meeting and holding of the Self through the Temptation to hold back or hide through the Temptation to contort or collapse through the Temptation to ignore or pretend the feeling isn't there.
However.
I've found that it can also activate our nervous system in such a way — that it may end up having us experience "one step forward, one step back," or we might Unconsciously end up shutting down or pulling away again, retrospectively, and unintentionally: going internal, feeling exhausted, or otherwise creating Energetic Space around us as a buffer... usually unintentionally.
And what I've found really helpful and powerful in helping to prevent that 'Subconscious Whiplash,' is Soul Retrieval, specifically dived into just after the Choice to Open through a Pattern, a Wobble, a Fear, a Doubt.
It Returns something to us that,
in my experience,
helps us continue to Open toward
what we Desire.
It Anchors in a form of Knowing and Embodiment that,
in my experience,
opens our Heart to this move we've just made
— not just our Will.
Because if we're just kind of white-knuckling it and pushing ourselves to take steps that feel Aligned but that feel incredibly activating and edgy it can be akin to simply forcing ourselves opening during intimacy we're not ready for, whether physical or emotional, and can cause even more of a desire to close away and cocoon ourselves from experiencing more... even if that 'more' is one that we actually, deeply, want.
